Summary Shahid Khaqan Abbasi says statements are disappointing, LNG project was cleared under Zardari

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has on Monday rejected the allegations of corruption by Sindh’s Finance Minister Murad Ali Shah. He said that the LNG project agreement had been cleared while the Co-Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was still the president of Pakistan and the statements by Murad Ali Shah are disappointing, reported Dunya News.

Abbasi said that LNG matter does not fall under the authority of Council of Common Interest. However, the LNG agreement had been signed when the former president Asif Zardari was still in the office.

Sindh’s Finance Minister had yesterday (Sunday) alleged the Nandipur, Quaid-e-Azam Solar Plant and LNG Terminal projects of being full of corruption and demanded investigations.
