Quaid-e-Azam solar power plant average output 18.5 megawatt: Shahbaz Sharif
Average output of solar projects is 19 megawatts worldwide
LAHORE (Dunya News) -- Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif said on Friday that Quaid-e-Azam solar power plant s average output is 18.5 megawatt and cost of plant is Rs 13 billion, reported Dunya News.
Solar power is the cheapest source of production of electricity, said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif at a press conference. Production of electricity decreases during night time while increasing at day time hours, he said, adding that the average output of solar projects is 19 megawatts worldwide.
Shahbaz Sharif said that in Punjab there are lesser opportunities to build hydroelectric power stations while in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Azad Kashmir there are more locations. He said that multiple projects are being setup to counter the energy crisis.
