Wapda employees stage protest against suggested privatization in Lahore
The protesting employees demanded to annul the plan at any cost.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) employees on Thursday staged a protest in Lahore against suggested privatization of electricity distribution companies.
The protesters blocked main roads and staged sit-in outside Wapda House and Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) office.
The employees stated that the privatization will disrupt their routine life and demanded to annul the plan at any cost.
