KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Slain social worker Sabeen Mehmood’s driver Ghulam Abbas was not killed over any personal issue; he was killed by the members of a banned outfit. The driver was an important witness in Sabeen’s murder case and was shot dead last night, reported Dunya News.
According to police, Ghulam Abbas’s killing was not a personal issue and he was murdered by the members of an outlawed organization. He had been shot dead last night in Korangi, Karachi. Police recorded the statements of Ghulam Abbas’s brother and daughter. Sketches of the killers were also prepared with the help of the eyewitnesses. Abbas’s family members said that he had no personal issues with anyone.
According to police officials, strong evidence of banned outfit’s involvement in Sabeen’s murder has been found. SHO Ibrahim Haideri said that there will soon be a breakthrough in the case. The initial investigation proves that the murderers had complete information of Ghulam Abbas’s whereabouts.
On the other hand, directions have been given to tighten the security of the other witnesses in Sabeen’s murder case after the death of Ghulam Abbas.
