Five peace volunteers killed in Tirah Valley
The clash took place in Qamarkhel area of Tirah Valley.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - At least five peace volunteers were killed during clash with terrorists in Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency.
The clash took place in Qamarkhel area of Tirah Valley, a militancy-infested tribal region along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
Terrorist strongholds have been reduced in the area since the launch of the Operation Khyber, and the military is currently battling terrorists in the last few areas close to the Afghan border.
In September 2014, the Pak Army launched an offensive "Operation Khyber 1" against the militants in Bara area of Khyber agency, which successfully came to an end in March and “Operation Khyber 2" in Tirah Valley concluded in June this year.
