Increase in street crimes and ineligibility of the police to punish criminals have forced people to punish the culprits on their own. Alleged members of commission mafia were thrashed by vigilant mob when they demanded weekly commission. The mob also tried to burn the mafia members however the police intervened and saved the mafia members.Commission mafia is active in several cites across the country, police instead of taking action against the mafia provides protection to them in return for their own share. Several cases have been reported in the past as well where mobs have burnt bandits alive.
