Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani informed that he took PML-N in confidence before announcing the 3-year extension in service of the Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani. PM said that politics of reconciliation was the only way for the country to come out of the crises. He said that all political parties and institutions had to join hands to bring the country out of the crises. He said that leadership of all political parties should play a positive role in the politics and the parliament should complete its constitutional tenure of five years. He further said the masses would never trust the politicians if they did not deliver. The Prime Minister said the PPP-led government was following its manifesto and fulfilling its promises to the masses.He said the PPP wanted to go forward taking all parties and the institutions along with it, adding that only civilian government could tackle the challenges faced by the country.The nation was united against the terrorism for the first time in the history of Pakistan, he remarked.The legitimacy of civil nuclear technology of Pakistan was very important and China was supporting us in this regard, he said.He said the government was steering the nation in the right direction, adding that coalition governments were ruling in all the provinces.He said maintaining law and order was the responsibility of the provincial governments and they should control the situation in their provinces. Who will handle the law and order situation in the country if the provincial governments do not it, he added.
