Summary Police personnel were needed to open aerial fire at the time, says Justice Ijaz
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Lahore bench of the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan on Monday has summoned a detailed report from prosecution in Kot Radha Kishan incident.
The development has come in in Kot Radha Kishan case where a Christian couple was burnt to death by Muslim community.
Justice Ijaz Chaudhry held hearing of bail pleas of criminals in the case. The judge said that Punjab Police’s incompetence led to the killings. Police personnel reached the crime scene on time but stood idol there, he added.
Justice Chaudhry said that the personnel were needed to open aerial fire to disperse the mob. The court said that it has almost become a tradition now that police give protocol to the few people who protest against anything.
