Earlier on Saturday, the MQM called off talks with the government on the issue of its parliamentarians’ resignation in protest against the cold shoulder treatment meted out to it during Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s recent visit to Karachi.
The MQM termed Nawaz Sharif’s behavior as “arrogant and threatening” and complained that the Prime Minister did not even visit critically injured MNA Rashid Godil.
On August 12, 24 MNAs, 8 senators and 51 Sindh Assembly members belonging to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) submitted their resignations in protest against alleged victimisation of party workers.
