Summary Transgender community cheered for Pak Army for rooting out terrorism
GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) – People from the transgender community took to roads to join the celebration of Pakistan Independence Day on Thursday, Dunya News reported.
The transgender persons danced on the beats of patriotic songs while chanting slogans including Pakistan Zindabad and Pak Army Paindabad (long live Pakistan and Pak Army).
According to details, an Independence Day rally was carried out by the Khawaja Sira Association that started at the Sialkoti Gate and ended at Gujranwala Chowk while passing by GT Road.
The transgender persons were carrying national flags, banners and placards. A large number of people gathered around on the road and kept taking pictures with them.
The president of the Khawaja Sira Association Saima said that members of the transgender community are also Pakistani and are equally excited about the Independence Day as would any other Pakistani.
She said the Pakistan Army is eliminating terrorism successfully and peace is being restored in the country as a result.
Meera said that freedom is a huge blessing and that Pakistan’s founding fathers had earned Pakistan after major sacrifices and efforts. She said celebrating independence day with patriotic zeal is the right of every Pakistani.
