(Web Desk) - Nation has all set to celebrate Independence Day on Friday with traditional fervor and enthusiasm vowing to make Pakistan a true Islamic welfare state as explained by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
As per details, the day will follow by a salute of thirty-one gun in the federal and twenty one gun salute in provincial capitals.
The main event of the day will be a flag hoisting ceremony at Convention Center in Islamabad, where Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif will be the chief guest. It will be followed by the address of the Prime Minister to the nation. A firework would also be held sharp at 12:00 am tonight to start the day.
Different universities and colleges would hold special events including seminars, conferences, lectures, debates, speech contests, exhibitions, quiz competitions, stage dramas and Mushairas.
