KARACHI (Dunya News) – Unprovoked firing on a police mobile in the metropolitan city left 4 police personnel dead on Wednesday, reported Dunya News.
According to sources, police personnel were eating at a local hotel in Korangi Zaman Town when unidentified persons opened firing. The martyred police personnel include:
ASI Aqeel
Constable Anwar
Constable Jameel
Constable Akhtar
The suspects fled from spot after the incident. The bodies of the martyred personnel have been transferred to Jinnah Hospital. Inspector General (IG) Ghulam Haider Jamali, Additional Inspector General (AIG) Mushtaq Mehr and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Munir Sheikh along with other police officers reached the place of incident.
According to police sources, 3 suspects came on a bike and opened fire using 3 ‘official’ rifles. 5 shells have been recovered from place of incident.
