KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Assembly on Wednesday unanimously passed a resolution condemning massive child sex abuse scandal in Kasur district of Punjab.

The resolution was moved jointly by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Functional League, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and PML-N members.

The resolution demands stern action against the culprits and provision of justice to the affected families.

On Monday, the National Assembly also passed unanimous resolution condemning the abuse and demanding exemplary punishment for the culprits.

Families in Hussain Khanwala village of Kasur district kept quiet for years about the blackmail gang that locals believe filmed some 270 children being sexually abused, fearful the videos could appear online or sold in markets.

14 out of 15 suspects have been arrested so far.
