Karachi: Senior officers in police involved in criminal activities
Rangers wrote to high officials in Karachi police to act against criminal officials in department
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Rangers have on Tuesday informed high officials in Karachi police in a letter that senior officers and officials in the department are involved in criminal activities. Dunya News has also obtained the copy of the letter written by the Rangers to police.
In the letter, Rangers have demanded action against the police officials involved in criminal activities. According to the text of the letter, SSP Akram Abro, Sub-inspector Mumtaz Mehr, police officer Rana Hanif and police officer Bilal are involved in kidnapping for ransom cases. Inspector Chaudhry Azam, Sub-Inspector Sarfraz, ASI Raja Khalid, ASI Nasir Urooj, police officer Kamran Beater, Farooq Shah, Babar, Ramzan Beater and Imran Memon are involved in extortion related crimes while Inspector Wasif Qureshi is involved in aiding criminals.
Police officials have not acted against any of these officers as yet. They said that the investigations are being carried out and action will be taken soon.
