Summary Once considered frontline soldiers of PML-N, traders are all set to hold strike against the govt

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Once considered as the frontline soldiers of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N), traders throughout the country are determined to get their strike against withholding tax on bank transactions successful on August 5. All Pakistan Goods Transporters and Middlemen Association has on Tuesday also become active, reported Dunya News.

All Pakistan Traders Association (Khalid Pervez Group) has called for a strike, trying to succeed in which the traders have expedited their contacts. The traders association has always been considered as pro PML-N but the same frontline soldiers of the party are ready to get its strike against withholding tax successful.

President All Pakistan Traders Association Lahore Mujahid Maqsood Butt has also announced support for the strike. Meanwhile, National Traders Association has already announced support for August 1 and August 5 strikes. However, PML-N Trader Wing has not yet come up with a clear policy yet they are hopeful that a positive solution will be reached through talks.

All Pakistan Goods Transporters and Middlemen Association have also announced support for the strike due to which traders are hopeful for the success. One group of the traders association has already held strike on August 1. Most of the members of this association are also considered as PML-N voters and supporters.

Therefore, traders, which are considered as PML-N’s stronghold, are doing shutter-down against the government and it is also quite possible that PML-N’s vote-bank gets affected by these developments.
