Summary Heavy contingents of police have been sought from Lahore for the situation
KASUR (Dunya News) – Relatives took to Dialpur Road as suspects in a child rape case were not apprehended by police on Tuesday. One person died as a result of baton charge and aerial firing by police while 15 personnel including Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) were injured, reported Dunya News.
Protestors registered their protest against police’s inaction against suspects in child rape case on Dialpur Road in village Hussain Khan Wala near Kasur.
Clashes ensued between protestors and police as latter used baton charge and aerial firing due to which 1 person lost his life while 10 others were injured.
The protestors responded in kind to the police and threw stones at the police which caused injuries to 15 police personnel including a DSP. Contingents of police have been sought from Lahore for the situation.
