The Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani has received an extension of two-year in his service. The official notification is expected to be issued within the next 48 hours.General Kayani was set to retire on November 28, 2010. The extension is sought for the continuity in Pakistans defense policies since the country is fighting with militants mainly in the tribal areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
