Summary Nawaz Sharif is expected to address the nation at 7 pm and take nation into confidence on JC report
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is on Thursday going to call for ‘a new beginning’ in his address to the nation that is expected at 7 pm. Sources told Dunya News that according to the text of PM’s address, he will tell the nation to forget what has happened in the past and move on. He will take the nation into confidence on the report of the judicial commission, reported Dunya News.
According to the sources, PM Nawaz will tell the nation to forget the tensions of the past. He is also going to inform the nation about the support that the government has provided to the flood victims and will also appeal to the nation to help the victims.
Earlier today, the inquiry commission formed to investigate alleged rigging in 2013 elections handed in its report to the Law Ministry. The sealed report has been presented to the Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif who will decide on making the report public. PTI’s spokesperson Naeem-ul-Haq stated that they will give their stance once the official report of inquiry commission comes. He stated that decisions were being made beforehand and if there is a report than it should be shown.
Earlier, PM Nawaz held a key meeting at PM House to finalise a strategy to bring the General Elections 2013 rigging probe s report to light. The meeting was attended not only by ministers but political and legal teams.

On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Jahangir Tareen said that the party would discuss the matter after commission’s report is brought to light.

At least 39 meetings of inquiry commission were held out of which 2 were in camera and 1 was in the chamber.
Statements of 15 witnesses were recorded from Election Commission while statements of 16 witnesses were recorded from PTI. Additional Secretary Sher Afghan, former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Najam Sethi, Election Commission and returning officers of Punjab and other provinces were also examined.
Inquiry Commission also demanded a record of Form 14 and 15 of whole country. Hearings of 86 in total were held.
