KARACHI (Web Desk) – The paramilitary Sindh Rangers have halted targeted operation in the province as deadline regarding special powers granted to them expires on Wednesday night, Dunya News reported.
According to sources, Rangers personnel have been directed not to conduct any raid while additional contingents of Rangers deployed at sensitive points in Karachi have been called back.
This development is likely to affect ongoing investigation from arrested target killers and extortionists.
The duration of special powers granted to Rangers has been extended multiple times in the past but this time it is unclear.
