Balochistan Deputy Speaker Syed Matiullah Aghas degree has been declared as invalid. Matiullah took the degree from a seminary in Multan. On the other hand Karachi University Monday completed the verification of 106 degrees of parliamentarians. Sources said that KU did not confirm three degrees, including those of Yaqoob Bazinjo and Jamil Malik could not be verified. The chancellor of the varsity added that the degree of Senator Faisal Raza Abidi has not been received by the University for verification. He claimed that Abidi only submitted a marks sheet, and the university degree cannot be verified on the basis of just that. A number of degrees belonging to parliamentarians sent to Punjab University for verification were found to be missing, sources stated. The degrees of as many as 313 parliamentarians were sent to the Punjab University, out of which 200 degrees have been verified while the record of some of the degrees has been found missing. On the other hand, PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujat has appealed of his party members who are fake degree holders to voluntarily tender their resignations. Meanwhile, Punjab University has not completed verification of the degrees of the parliamentarians, while the varsity administration denied the news that the degrees have been lost.
