One number of the saving certificate was found wrong

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) rabtaa committee’s member Amir Khan on Tuesday has been released from the central jail.

The release was delayed earlier despite court’s bail orders as one number of his saving certificate was found wrong.

It was reported earlier that the saving certificate and national identity card (NIC) could not be verified.

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) had granted bail to Khan against submission of at least Rs 10 lac after he was arrested in allegations of helping terrorists.

However, one number of the saving certificate has been found wrong upon which it has been sent to the National Saving Centre for verification. Answer from the department and the verification of Khan’s NIC was pending earlier today.

The court had sent the NIC to Nadra on Monday.
