LAHORE (Web Desk) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected supermodel Ayyan Ali’s bail plea in the money-laundering case today (Monday), Dunya News reported.

The bail plea was heard by Justice Abdul Sami.

During the case hearding, defence lawyer Latif Khosa argued that a ‘baseless’ case was registered against his client under the political pressure.

Ayyan Ali did not smuggle currency abroad, he said.

Khosa informed court that Ayyan ali could not be termed  passenger  as there was no exit stamp on her passport and nor did she possess boarding card before leaving for Dubai.

State lawyer told court the accused was arrested under Section IV of Customs Act and her two bail requests have already been rejected.

He said Ayyan was rounded up by Custom officials in Islamabad airport’s VIP lounge. She was illegally taking huge sum of money abroad, he added.

After hearing the arguments, the LHC judge rejected Ayyan Ali’s bail plea.
