PML-N's Hafizur Rahman elected CM Gilgit-Baltistan uncontested
Hafiz Hafizur Rahman elected as CM without contest; took oath as CM from Governor Birjees Tahir
GILGIT-BALTISTAN: (Dunya News) – Hafiz Hafizur Rahman of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) has on Friday been elected uncontested as the Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan (GB). He took oath from Governor GB Birjees Tahir, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, PML-N has 14 seats out of the total 24 in GB Legislative Assembly. Hafizur Rahman had been elected to the legislative assembly from Gilgit-2. No member from the opposition contested his candidature for CM and thus he was elected uncontested.
