Summary Despite the passage of three hours the fire has not been extinguished.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Fire broke into a shoe godown in Sher Shah area of Karachi today (Wednesday), Dunya News reported.

On getting information of the incident, five cars of fire brigade reached the scene initially however; after witnessing the intensity of the blaze additional five cars and three bowsers were called immediately.

Despite the passage of eight hours the fire has not been extinguished as firefighters are facing difficulties in controlling the fire due to shortage of water.

The fire officials have categorised the blaze as third degree.

Cause of the fire could not be ascertained immediately. Reports said factory raw materials worth millions were reduced to ashes as a result of the fire. No casualty, however, was reported in the incident.

Moreover, one part of the building has collapsed due to the extreme blaze.

Sindh government has maintained silence over the issue and has yet not taken any notice.
