KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) half-day strike against Sindh budget has ended in the province, Dunya News reported on Sunday.
Shops and petrol pumps have started to open whereas traffic flow has also increased on the roads.
On the call of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), half-day strike against Sindh budget was observed in Sindh including Karachi and various other cities.
Most of the trading centres, shops, petrol pumps were closed whereas traffic was rare on the roads.
Besides this the hotels and bakeries which open early morning were also shut down.
Rabta committee appealed the public, transporters, shop keepers, trader community and industrialists to restore activities at 1 p.m. after recording the protest.
MQM has termed the budget as ‘unfriendly to Sindh’ and called for province-wide call for shutter down including Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Tandu Adam, Mirpur Khas and various other cities.
