BANNU (Dunya News) - Militants attacked the check-post of security forces in Frontier Region (FR) Bannu area today (Wednesday) claiming the life of one security official, Dunya News reported.
According to details, three militants were also killed in an exchange of fire between both sides.
The Khadam Shaheed check-post, 25 kilometres away from Bannu, was attacked by more than a dozen militants.
Security forces retaliated strongly to the attack and killed three of the militants whereas rest of them escaped from the scene and also took the dead bodies with them.
Security officials cordoned off the area after the assault and have initiated a search operation in the area.
