ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said on Monday that Election Commission (EC) should have completed its homework regarding local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). He said that the First Information Report (FIR) against Awami National Party (ANP) leader Mian Iftikhar was filed on the request of local people, reported Dunya News.

Talking to media about the filing of FIR on Mian Iftikhar, Imran Khan said that KP government will not interfere in police matters.

He assured that verdict will be given without any prejudice.

Declaring EC as the sole cause of all irregularities that took place during in KP local body polls, Imran Khan said that EC should have realized that elections on such a massive scale cannot take place in one day.

He cited ‘lack of homework’ on the part of EC as the reason that irregularities took place.

Chairman PTI Imran Khan alleged that Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq is being saved in the NADRA’s report on electoral rigging.

Imran Khan said that the Chairman NADRA is being put under pressure due to which he went out of country before his hearing in court.

He demanded that the court hearings should be held on daily basis.
