Chief of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Altaf Hussain, says a conspiracy is being hatched to trigger ethnic riots and to sabotage harmony among the residents of Karachi.Hussain expressed these views during his telephonic address from London to a workers convention organized in Rawalpindi and Multan. He suggested that people should develop a private security culture in the country. He urged people to remain vigilant against suspected people in their neighborhoods. He said that the government never preempts action until tragedy hits the country. Altaf reiterated that MQM will continue to work for bringing peace and stability in the country. He added that he has been warning of terror threats for the last 3 decades. Altaf Hussain asked political and religious parties to take measures for addressing real problems of the masses instead of focusing on what he called non-issues.The MQM chief directed the people to remain vigilant of any plot against Sindh.
