Axact Chairman Shoaib Sheikh, various employees under investigation
FIA has also started scrutinizing equipment in Axact’s office
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has started its investigations from Information Technology (IT) department of Axact. FIA has also sought details of e-forms from State Bank, reported Dunya News.
FIA has decided to expand the scope of investigations in the ongoing Axact diploma mill scandal.
According to sources, arrested suspects Shoaib Sheikh, Waqas Attique and various other employees are currently under investigation since night of May 27.
In an another development, FIA has decided to put IT department of Axact under investigation as well.
Authorities have decided to write a letter to companies established in Dubai as well as details of e-forms from State Bank to obtain details of cash inflow of Axact for the past 5 years.
According to sources, Axact has submitted millions of dollars in remmitances under the pretext of software.
FIA has also started scrutinizing equipment in Axact’s office.
