Melting glaciers have increased the flow of river Swat resulting in inundation of many buildings and crops, said sources Thursday. Many buildings and a high school have been inundated in Mingora near the Ayub Bridge due to increased flow of water there. Power crisis is also feared in many districts as electric poles may fall due to entry of water in them. The related authorities have examined the situation but no concrete steps have been taken. This has become a cause of concern for the citizens of the area.
