KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Coordination Committee has announced a protest campaign across Sindh from May 22, Dunya News reported.

Raabta Committee alleged that corruption of several crore rupees is being committed in the name of free water tankers.

Addressing press conference, MQM member Haider Abbas Rizvi said that MQM is struggling for water for previous 8 years but no heed has been paid to the artificial water crisis by those in sitting in the power houses.

He said MQM has been forced to take the option of protest, adding that the protest campaign will begin on May 22.

MQM’s opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izharul Hassan said that MQM has given its recommendation to the government to resolve the water crisis.

He said corruption of several crore rupees is being committed in the name of free tankers.

MQM lawmaker Kanwar Jamil said that if steps are not taken until June 6 to resolve water crisis then change in protest strategy will become cause of problem for the government.
