Affectees of Atabad lake have ended their protest after they are assured the expansion of the spillway of the lake. On the other hand, water level of the lake is increasing. The deadline to expand spillway of Atabad lake was ended on which the affectees threatened to start work on the spillway. They also threatened to jump into the lake, if the work by the authorities concerned is not started at the earliest. However, Force Commander Northern Areas assured to expand the spillway, on which the protesters postponed their protest. Meanwhile, water level of the lake was increased up to 3 inches last night.
