ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Sunday said that God is witness that National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) was not pressure, asking why election tribunal judges don’t give shut up call to those leveling allegations.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Ch Nisar lashed out at those leveling rigging allegations on the government. He said those terming ninety three thousand voters fake should fear God, adding that the allegation that government pressured NADRA is false.
“For God sake someone speak truth to the nation,” he pleaded. “Why are tribunal judges letting them put up a spectacle?”
Federal minister termed the rigging allegation as a joke with the nation. He said those who tell stretched tales to the nation should feel ashamed at very least. He said the votes that could not be verified are not fake.
Chaudhry Nisar said everyone is stating their point of view in the media, asking why the tribunal judges are letting everyone stage a spectacle. He called for shutting up of all stakeholders.
He said the report regarding Imran Farooq murder case is complete and will be submitted in next one or two days and will be presented to the media as well.
The federal minister also announced four new policies regarding national security. He said that if weapon licenses are not renewed by December 31st then they will stand canceled.
He said those who pay income taxes will be given permission to keep a bullet-proof vehicle.
Nisar said that the Exit Control List (ECL) has names of over 7.5 thousand individuals, adding that from now on a name will be put on the ECL list only after a court order.
He said he wants weapon licenses to be issued through NADRA only, adding that licenses will only be issued over security fears.
Nisar said that the policy regarding bullet-proof vehicles will be laid out in a month and that the bullet-proof vehicles will only be allowed after checking NTN tax numbers of the applicant.
He said Pakistan has prisoners exchange agreement with nine countries, adding that prisoners involved in murder and drug related charges were brought back to Pakistan only to be released.
Federal Minister said that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is being cleansed of black sheep.
