Armed men kill school security guard in DG Khan
Security guard of the school has been killed in the firing incident.
DERA GHAZI KHAN (Web Desk) – Unidentified gunmen stormed into a school in the central town of Dera Ghazi Khan on Monday and killed a guard, Dunya News reported.
Police said all teachers and children at the Government Boys High School Sarwarwali were safe.
"We are still not sure how many gunmen there were and whether they are still there. The police are searching," district police officer Rehmat Ullah Khan Niazi said.
Security of all educational institutes was tightened following December 16 Taliban attack on Army Public School that left more than 150 people dead.
That attack hardened Pakistan s resolve to fight militants who have been battling the state for years. There have been two grenade attacks on schools in the southern city of Karachi since early February though no one was hurt in either one.
