Sargodha Anti-Terror Court handed down ten years sentence each to US citizens for plotting terrorist activities on Thursday.ATC Judge Mian Nazeer gave out his six-page verdict awarding ten years term each to all the five US citizens under two anti-terrorism sections 125 and 126. BackgroundThe US nationals Aman, Ahmad, Waqar, Rami and Umar Farooq were arrested from Sargodha some 7 months back allegedly trying to join Taliban in the fight against US troops in Afghanistan. They denied the accusations, saying they came to Pakistan to attend a wedding and intended to travel to Afghanistan to do humanitarian work. Maps and documents were also seized from their possession. They are said to have links with Al-Qaeda leader Qari Saifullah.
