Make Karachi a separate province, demands Altaf Hussain
MQM chief Altaf Hussain has said that people of Karachi seek a separate province for themselves.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has demanded to make Karachi a separate province, Dunya News reported.
Addressing a large number of his party workers gathered at Jinnah Ground, Azizabad to celebrate the victory in NA-246 by-poll, Altaf Hussain said that the people of Karachi seek a separate province for themselves.
Altaf Hussain further said that there was a need for more provinces in the country, especially in areas dominated by the Hazara and Siraiki speaking people.
He further said that Hyderabad, Sukkur, South Waziristan, and Gilgit-Baltistan should be made separate provinces.
Altaf Hussain asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to give justice to people specially to the people of Karachi, saying if he fails to do so, he should resign from his office.
