Summary Famous bakeries will implant bakery infrastructure inside jail and will give training to prisoners
GUJRANWALA (Daily Dunya) – Central Jail Gujranwala has announced on Friday to train the prisoners as bakery chefs and open a bakery outlet outside the jail to sell the products made by detainees. Bakery products will be made on order as well for weddings and other parties.
According to sources, bakery outlet will be opened on Sialkot Road. Jail officials said that famous bakeries of the area will implant bakery infrastructure inside jail and will give training to the prisoners while the bakeries will also get their commission in the profit. Prisoners will get paid for their labor while the first batch of trained prisoners will also train other prisoners afterwards and will be paid for that as well.
Superintendent Jail Kamran Anjam has sent a detailed report about the bakery project to Inspector General (IG) of Jails and the project will be started right after getting the approval from the IG.
