LHC issues notices to Zardaris father, mother

Accepting to hear NABs appeal, the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday has issued notices to President Zardaris father Hakim Ali Zardari, mother Zarein Zardai and others in an illegal land allotment case. A two-member bench of LHC including Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry and Justice Shahid Hameed is hearing the NAB appeal. The LHC has accepted the NAB appeal against the acquittal of accused in illegal land allotment case and issued notices to President Zardaris father Hakim Ali Zardari, his mother Mrs. Zareen Zardari and co-accused land acquisition controller Hashim Baber. NAB its reference against Hashim Baber in 1997 had maintained that he misusing his powers allotted land in Murree. However, all the persons accused were acquitted under NRO. Now, all NAB appeals against the acquittal of the accused in illegal land allotment have been accepted.
