Accountability court acquits Rehman Malik in two corruption references
The other suspect former Director FIA Sajjad Haider was issued summon notice.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Accountability Court in Rawalpindi acquitted former federal minister Rehman Malik in two references of corruption, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.
According to details, the hearing was conducted by Judge Sohail Nasir.
Rehman Malik’s lawyer adopted the stance that the suspects other than Rehman Malik have been acquitted whereas the reference made against his client was malicious.
The court while adjourning the hearing declared Malik’s penalty illegal which was announced in his absence and acquitted him in two references whereas the other suspect former Director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Sajjad Haider was issued summon notice.
Rehman Malik was accused of taking a car in bribery during FIA deployments and corruption of millions of rupees.
