KARACHI (Dunya News) – The team formed to re-investigate the Baldia factory incident on Saturday has paid a visit to the fire site and interrogated the guards there.
The Rangers, Sindh Police and intelligence agencies personnel joined the investigation team.
While recording their statement, guards Ali, Arshad and Fazal said that nobody entered the factory before it caught fire. They were on strict instructions to not open the entry and exit gates of the factory, they added.
They further said that the factory gates were locked down and window panes were shut when the incident happened.
However, the team discarded the earlier report which suggested short circuit, a reason for the incident.
