Health insurance system to roll out in current year, Advisor CM

Summary Khawaja Salman said that the beneficiaries of the insurance system will be decided by the NADRA

LAHORE (Dunya News) -- Advisor to CM(Chief Minister) for Health Khawaja Salman said on Friday that Punjab government is planning to roll out insurance system to provide masses with health services, reported Dunya News.

Talking at a meeting of board of directors, presided by Dr Aisha Ghous at Punjab Health Initiatives Management Company, Khawaja Salman said that the initiative will be rolled out initially in the areas of Rajan Pur, Chakwal, Hafizabad, which will spread in due time to all part of the provinces.

The Advisor to CM said that in order to run such a system, competent and honest people are required to serve at top positions of the Punjab Health Initiatives Management Company adding that the positions will be decided purely on merit.

Speaking at the occasion, Khawaja Salman said that the beneficiaries of the insurance system shall be determined by the National Database and Registration Authority(NADRA) record which had been compiled for Benazir Income Support Program.
