Summary Demolished wedding halls includes Babar Ghori's Florence Garden Banquet Hall as well
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi Anti-encroachment teams continued the crackdown against illegal wedding halls on Friday. MQM Rabita Committee said that under the cover of crackdown against encroachments, the 25 years old banquet halls of MQM workers are being demolished.
Four banquet halls were demolished in Gulshan Iqbal and North Nazimabad Area. One of the halls was property of ex Senator Babar Ghori. Municipal commissioner Masood Alam said that the halls were built on welfare plots.
Owners of the halls said that they did not get any notice or information from Karachi Municipal Corporation about the crackdown so this activity is illegal.
