FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Police claims that dacoits, who robbed a bank a day before in Faisalabad, are reported to be linked with an terrorist organization, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
According to police, the robbery manner of the dacoits was different from ordinary bank robberies whereas CCTV footage has also been confiscated.
As per the police report, security arrangements of 400 banks in the district are poor.
Earlier, Dacoits robbed a private bank during daylight whereas during the heist the cashier and 2 guards resisted and got fatally shot by the robbers.
The robbery took place on Sheikhupura road near Textile University where four robbers rode on two motorbikes and robbed a bank.
The guards resisted to robbers which resulted in an exchange of fire between them claiming the lives of two guards, Saleem and Haji Mehmood, one cashier, Hanif and a customer.
The dacoits fled from the scene with an amount of Rs10 lacs.
The police arrived on scene half an hour after the incident and cordoned off the area.
Enraged crowd gave protest against the police for their delayed action.
Police also took a suspicious person in custody from the scene and transferred him to police station.
