ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Federal Interior Ministry on Wednesday formed a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to question suspects arrested from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters Nine-Zero , Dunya News reported.
As per the notification issued by the Interior Ministry, the JIT will investigate as many as 29 individuals arrested from Nine-Zero and surroundings.
Rangers had arrested several suspects after raiding MQM center and other offices on March 11. Some of the arrested individuals were released while others were sent on physical remand; whereas there are as many as 60 suspects in Rangers custody whom Rangers have in remand for 90 days using special authority afforded to them.
