Summary Protestors vandalized several shops whereas some shop owners used knives to keep protestors at bay.

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Police on Wednesday have registered cases against at least 35 people in Rail Bazar police station for ransacking during a protest against Amplifier Act in Faisalabad 

All the cases were filed in the presence of Station House Officer (SHO) in which the articles of vandalism, violence and disturbing public order have been included.

Earlier, workers of Sunni Ittehad Council held protest demonstrations against arrest of party workers and clerics under the Amplifier Act in Faisalabad and tried to forcefully shut shops in eight bazaars around Chowk Ghanta Ghar, Dunya News reported.

Situation turned violent when traders fought back and resisted forceful shutdown.

Protestors vandalized several shops whereas some shop owners used knives to keep the protestors at bay.

It may be mentioned here that more than two thousand people were arrested for misuse of loudspeakers during a recent crackdown across the country as part of the National Action Plan.
