Lahore High Court Wednesday sought reply from the federal and provincial governments regarding the delay in local bodies election by July 1.The court issued the orders on the petitions filed by former District Nazmin Association. In the petition, it is argued that by delaying the polls, the provincial and federal governments are violating the constitution. The administrators could not run the financial matters nor could it use the development fund. The applicants urged the court to direct the concerned government to conduct the polls as soon as possible. The court sought reply from the Attorney General and Advocate General of Pakistan by July 1.
