Chinese Vice Premier Zheng Dejiang is scheduled to pay an official two-day visit to Pakistan on June 9. According to Foreign Office, this would be his first bilateral visit to Pakistan, during which he would call on the President, Prime Minister and Chairman Senate and would be on meeting with the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Chief of Army Staff. Pakistan and China enjoy a multifaceted strategic partnership, based on mutual trust and mutuality of interests. Strengthening of cooperation with China is one of the key principles guiding Pakistans foreign policy. China is a factor of stability in the region and beyond. Together, the two countries continue their common endeavours for building a better future for their peoples and promoting international peace, stability and prosperity. One of the prime features of Sino-Pakistan all-weather friendship is frequent high-level contacts. The visit of Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang would provide an opportunity for a comprehensive review of our cooperative partnership and exchange of views on regional and global developments. The visit would add further impetus to our friendly, close and cooperative relations.
