Summary Election tribunals were formed to hear and decide the pleas of candidates within four months.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is reviewing options to extend election tribunals’ tenure for the third time as many cases regarding 2013 general elections are still pending, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
The second extension given to these election tribunals was about to end this month.
According to sources, most of the election tribunals failed to dispose of the petitions related to the 2013 elections, thus, the tenure would be extended by another two months.
