Dunya News

A three member bench headed by Justice Jamali heard the case today.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali has proposed Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Nasirul Mulk to form a larger bench for hearing of petitions pertaining to 21st constitutional amendment and establishment of military courts, Dunya News reported.

A three member bench headed by Justice Jamali heard the case today (Tuesday).

During case proceedings, High Court Bar s counsel Advocate Hamid Khan informed court that the federal and Khyber Pakhutnkhwa governments have only submitted their responses so far.

Advocate generals of Punjab and Balochistan told court that responses have already been filed. Sindh Advocate General informed that the provincial government has submitted its response at the apex court s Karachi registry.

Justice Jamali asked that what is the point of submitting response at Karachi registry if the case is being heard in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, the bench also directed the Advocate General Islamabad to submit a written reply within three days.

The case hearing has been adjourned for an indefinite period of time.
