KARACHI (Dunya News) – The case of the local government bill in Sindh assembly was postponed until tomorrow due to the reservations of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Dunya News reported on Monday.
Provincial Minister for Jail Sindh Manzoor Wasan said that police and Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) are doing business of millions together as the police station in Khairpur has been turned into a shopping mall however; his party wants to end the alliance between the police and PML-F.
On the contrary, members of PML-F protested on the accusations of Manzoor Wasan.
PML-F member Nusrat Saher Abbasi said that CNG passenger buses are extremely dangerous for the people whereas despite the approved resolution of Sindh Assembly, they are being seen roaming on the roads.
Moreover, PML-F members and Sindh Minister Manzoor Wasan engaged into a dispute over the matter of police officials transfer in Khairpur.
PML-F member Nusrat Saher Abbasi said that law and order situation in Khairpur improved due to capable police officers. She demanded that the transfer of Senior Superintendant Police (SSP) Khairpur should not be carried on political basis whereas; Manzoor Wasan said that the current SSP has been appointed by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
The members also observed one minute silence over the demise of former Supreme Court Judge Rana Bhagwandas and prayed for the victims of Nooriabad accident and Thar drought.
